Meet the DoctorKathy Schroeder Roth, DDSDr. Kathy Schroeder Roth has a large general dental practice in Missoula. She moved to Montana about 23 years ago, is a graduate of Wellesley College, Wellesley, Massachusetts, attended Harvard University School of Public Health, received a master’s degree from Case Western Reserve University, and her dental degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Prior to moving to Montana, and in addition to her private dental practice in the Columbus, Ohio area, she held positions at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, The Ohio State University Schools of Medicine and Dentistry; Assoc. Professor of Oral Pathology, and Assoc. Director, Tobacco Research Center, West Virginia University, Byrd Health Sciences Center; and Consultant and Examiner, Oral Products, The Procter & Gamble Co. While teaching at OSU and WVU, she was nationally and internationally recognized for her work in oral cancer and tobacco; was appointed to three U.S. Surgeon General’s Advisory Committees and reports, has written over 100 articles and chapters in professional journals, and appointed to various professional and editorial boards. In Montana, over the years, Dr. Roth has been very involved in the Missoula community with various fundraising efforts for various hospital, community arts and educational efforts. She has been a great supporter of the University of Montana, and Community Hospital. Her Board memberships have included University of Montana, Davidson’s Honors College Advisory Board; U of MT Presidential Scholarship Selection Committee; Trustee of Community Hospital Foundation Board; Founding Board Member of Ronald McDonald House of Missoula; Member of the Missoula Symphony Board; The Daly Mansion Preservation Trust Board and supporter of the Bitterroot Humane Society. She enjoys a variety of sports such as golf, skeet shooting, hiking up the “M” and in the Bitterroots, as well as landscaping and gardening. She and her family enjoy traveling in the West Coast, as well as exploring the National Parks and their beauty. She and her husband, also have an active new member in the household, a Chesapeake Bay retriever named Angus. |
